Edit Company - Registration

Use this option to change your company’s registration details with Micronet, e.g. to activate your Micronet system when it is first installed, to update your company’s ACN, or to change the date your Micronet licence expires. You also use this option to activate the specific modules which form part of your Micronet system, e.g. Enhanced POS, PDA Applications, EFTPOS, multi bins and T accounts.

 

Warning

  • You should not change any of these details unless you have been advised to do so by Micronet. If your registration details do not match those held by Micronet Systems Australia, your Micronet system could become unusable.
  • When entering information on this screen, make sure you don't mistakenly enter extra details like commas, full stops or spaces as these will lead to invalid registrations.
  1. Select a company to edit.

Refer to "Selecting a Company to Edit"

  1. Select REGISTRATION.

Micronet displays a warning message.

  1. Select Yes if you are certain you want to change your company’s registration details.

Micronet displays the Change Existing Company (Registration) screen. The details displayed will have been setup when Micronet was first installed in your company.

  1. Change the following fields as required:

Company Number

Micronet displays the ID of the selected company. If you have access to more than one company, you can enter another company ID and press Enter to display that company's details.

 

Company Name

Enter the company name.

 

Address 1, 2, 3

Enter up to three lines of the company's address.

 

Phone Number

Enter the company's main phone number.

 

Fax Number

Enter the company's fax number.

 

A.C.N. Number

Enter the company's Australian Company Number as registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

 

Date Valid To

Enter displays the date to which this company's Micronet licence is valid. Users will get an expiry warning starting seven days prior to expiry.

 

Maximum Sessions

Enter the number of users your company is licensed for. This is the maximum number of users who can be using Micronet at one time.

 

Pooled Company

This field is only used where multiple companies are sharing licences.

 

Version Number

Enter the version of the Micronet software that your company is licensed to use.

 

Registration

Enter the company's Micronet registration key as supplied by Micronet. This verifies that the codes are genuine Micronet codes and match the company profile details held by Micronet Systems Australia.

 

Data Path

Enter the path to the company's data files. You can change this if required.

If you mistype the Registration number or enter an invalid number, Micronet displays the following message.

  1. Optionally, you can activate or deactivate specific Micronet modules by selecting a module from the list and then:

  1. Complete the fields displayed then select Ok.

 

Technical Tip

Selecting Yes in the Enabled field turns a module on and selecting No turns a module off, in exactly the same way as selecting ACTIVATE PACKAGE or DEACTIVATE PACKAGE on the Change Existing Company (Registration) screen.

Micronet redisplays the Change Existing Company (Registration) screen.

  1. Select FILE | SAVE to save your changes.
  1. Select FILE | EXIT to return to the Change Existing Company screen.
  2. To see your changes take effect, you need to log back in to Micronet.
